We are looking for a competent and committed student for the research project on drug delivery of peptides using nanofibres

job

We are looking for a student who, as a scholarship fellow, wishes to dedicate one year to a research project. This exciting 12-month scholarship project will be a part of a major research project funded by the Free Research Council.

The project aims to increase the absorption of therapeutic peptides after sublingual administration, through formulation in nanofibres containing various excipients. The nanofibres will be spun using an electric field and should be subsequently characterized by various quantitative and qualitative methods including electron microscopy. In addition, a large part of the project is dedicated to studying the ability of the fibers to promote the absorption of relevant drug substances over the oromucosal barrier.

It is a collaborative project with DTU, which involves mainly laboratory work at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Copenhagen and the Food Institute, DTU in Lyngby. As a part of the project, you will work in close collaboration with Ph.D. student Mai Bay Stie and other supervisors involved in the research project.

Start date: September 1, 2018, or as soon as possible.

Application deadline: 20-06-2018. The interviews will hold as soon as possible.

Scholarship students are paid, and you have to take a leave from your studies. For further information, please contact.

Please send your CV, motivation letter, and a trascript of your records to Hanne Mørck Nielsen or Mai Bay Stie.
